The US is considered to have one of the fiercest militaries around the world. With that being said, the US military vehicles are among the top tier of the entire army around the world.
This is because the country itself has the money and power to enhance their equipment, thus showing their military prowess is considerably high among all of the countries in this world. Here are some of the vehicles used by the military in the US.
The amphibious assault vehicle
The amphibious assault vehicle is one of the great military vehicles owned by the US. Mostly used by the Marines, this vehicle can carry up to 25 combat-ready infantrymen. With treads and heavy armor, this vehicle also equipped with either a 40 mm grenade launcher or .50-cal. machine gun as the primary weapon.
The downside of this vehicle might be the armor that is perpendicular to the ground. This armor makes the amphibious assault vehicle vulnerable towards round penetration when a fight occurs.
Bradley is probably a vehicle similar to a tank. This is because the armor is quite heavy and propel itself on two tracks. In addition, most of the time Bradley is equipped with the explosive active armor that is common in the Abrams. What’s more, is that Bradley has a free-rotating turret similar to a tank. Because of that, this vehicle often placed on the frontlines.
What differs Bradley from Abrams is the thickness of the armor and the size of the machine gun. Bradley uses 25 mm machine gun while Abrams use the 120 mm ones. This vehicle can carry up to 8 infantrymen

The infamous M1 Abrams
M1 Abrams is the main military vehicle for the US army. First used in 1976, numerous upgrades have been done to the vehicle. The latest version is the M1A2 SEPV3 equipped with ceramic armor made from depleted uranium. The canon used is the 120 mm cannon that can use all kinds of ammo ranging from HE to Sabot.
Being the main firepower of the US army, there are thousands of it parked on the US bases and hundreds of it scattered across the world on a mission. You can find M1 Abrams in countries such as Australia, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
Paladin is probably another artillery often mistaken as a tank. This is because it propels on two big tank treads, has big a big gun, and heavy armor. But, its generally smaller size and weight compared to the Abrams is what make Paladin categorized as artillery. The gun itself is 155 mm howitzer used in an indirect fire mode.
This makes the shells fired arched rather than engaging directly. Aside from that, the armor and speed are not suitable for direct combat. Another factor why the Paladin is considered as artillery of the US military is its arm that supports the cannon barrel. It has a smaller size with lighter armor. Another thing is that the Paladin lacks the explosive reactive armor as the boxy armor Abrams has.
